2018 CRIMINAL DECISION FOR THE CRIMES OF LGBT + PRİDE WALK
On July 1, 2018, LGBTI + Pride Parade was filed against 6 people according to the violent detention. When a lawsuit is filed against them; In 2911, the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations was being tried by the opposition, along with allegations of diren resisting to avoid ordering “and sok endangering traffic safety”.
The decision process of the case today was seen in the 12th Criminal Court of First Instance. In the 4-month acquittal case, one person is estimated to be directive against a public official, 5 months, and one person was sentenced to 2 months and 15 days for endangering traffic safety. In both decisions, the announcement of the provision was left behind.
Istanbul Interim Committee on LGBTI + Pride Week announced that it will appeal in the statement about the decision:
