Booksmart director criticises airlines over deleted lesbian love scene

Booksmart chief Olivia Wilde has scrutinized carriers for indicating a variant of her film with a lesbian love scene cut out.

She says she viewed an altered rendition of Booksmart on a flight and wasn't intrigued.

Portions of the film had been removed including the adoration scene which she says is a "basic point" in the plot.

She included: "What message is this sending to watchers and particularly to ladies? That their bodies are disgusting?"

Booksmart recounts to the account of two US secondary school adolescents, Amy and Molly, who choose to have a great time on their last day of class.

During one point in the film, there's a simulated intercourse between Amy - played by Kaitlyn Dever - and another character.

Olivia saw on Twitter that individuals were whining the scene had been cut from the variant of the film being appeared on flights.
